Hi, I'm Jana! I'm based in the D.C. metro area and I love UX/UI and have dedicated myself to bridging the gap between data and design.

I am a recent graduate from the Master's of Human-Computer Interaction program at the University of Maryland, College Park (UMCP) as well as a full-time Senior Data Science Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton. My program focused heavily on user experience research and user interface design (UX/UI) along with visual design and data science. My passion for UX/UI sparked during my undergraduate degree in Information Science, also at UMCP, which had a primary focus on data science but was also able to expose me to UX/UI. Here, I was able to gain experience with user research, prototyping, wireframing, visual design, and other aspects of the UX lifecycle through my courses. I have worked as a data scientist for just over 2 years and I've loved every minute of it. Finishing my Master's program and working directly with clients as a UX Researcher with my peers, however, has reignited the passion that I had for UX research and visual design and I would love to continue working with user research and interfaces.
